Monitoring: July 2009
PARC has made a monitoring visit to its site . All demonstrations were observed and found that income generation activities are running well. 32 fruit plants were provided to farmmer to plant in the demonstration sites. PARC is planning to extend its number to neighbour communities if We achieved satisfactoty results.
Plant Production: July 2009
PARC has established two small temporary nurseries in order to supply fruits plant to farmers. It is expected that farmers will be able to generate income through plantation program. PARC is planning to keep such small nursery in next year also to cover other area also.
Bee Keeping

PARC has established 8 bee houses in eight farmer houses. Program is based on the second project of Rufford Small Grant for Nature Conseravtion.
The mai aim of this program is to reduce the poverty and discourage the destruction based income generation activities.
RSG alternative livelihood program
Pig Rearing July 2009
In the support of Rufford Small Grant for Nature Conservation, PARC has established demonstration of conservation based alternative livelihood program. On this program, PARC encourages poor farmer to rear pig so that they can generate income regularly. Altogether, PARC has placed pig rearing demonstration at 8 places.
Board Establishment June 2009
Our general and regular activities are also running according to our project proposal. We re-paint all our old conservation boards which were placed in our first (RSG) project. We place 9 more boards in the project site.
Teacher Interaction Programme June 2009
RSG rhino conservation project organized conservation based "Teacher Interaction Programme" on June 3, 2009. Representative all schools of Chitwan National Park Bufferzone Lother User Committee, Piple Chitwan actively took part and interacted in conservation issue of CNP. Suman Bhattarai facilitated the programme and chairman of Bufferzone User Committeehighlighted the objective of programme. Programme was conducted in the training hall of Bufferzone user committee. Programme was organized in the joint venture of RSG, Lother Bufferzone User Group, PARC and NEF.
Conservation Awareness Campaign May 2009
Rhino conservation Campaign was organized in the Rai village of Chitwan National Park Lother Bufferzone on 28th May, 2009. Altogether there are 61 participants and most of them are women. Participants were the representative of five Bufferzone Community Forests of Chitwan National Park Lother Bufferzone.
Alternative IGAs May 2009
PARC has supported eight farmers to adopt conservation based integrated income generation activities (IGAs). PARC encouraged them to keep fishery, pig, bee, duck and garden activities. PARC has provided financial assistance on the refundable basis. Farmers have to return assistance within one years and that assistance will be provided to next poor farmer for one year in refundable contract. Activities are conducted in Chitwan National Park Lother Bufferzone.
Education Material Production May 2009
In the support of Nagao Natural Environment Foundation, PARC has produced 150 dozens of education material with the message of rhino conservation. The main objective of production is to disseminate the conservation message and support poor students for their education.
Regular Meeting May 2009
As regular activities, project members use to make discussion with representative of local partner organization time to time. Project members discussed about the rhino conservation awareness activities with local partner and decided to established conservation awareness board in the village center, poaching pocket areas and park’s entry point.
