Radio Programme; February 2009
Our radio programme is running smoothly. We focus sensitive flora, fauna and landscape with rural livelihood and sometimes we explore those personalities who are working and contributing a lot for nature and biodiversity conservation locally.
We made an interview with Mr. Raj Kumar Bhatta who is a social worker and local conservationist of Chitwan National Park Lothar Bufferzone Area. Everyone can see his contribution in open city, village and highlighted area but nobody knows him. He had done a lot for biodiversity conservation from the local level but he had not getting popularity as much as his contribution. So, we had tried to bring him front through radio. We are expecting that this exploration will surely add more enthusiasm on him to devote on nature conservation and contribute regularly as in past.

How Cruel Human
Today’s Morning (23rd October 2008), a group of people caught a snake and cut off its head in the Forestry Collage (Collage belongs to Nature and Wildlife conservation), Pokhara, Nepal. What a shame story happening on conservation oriented collage arena?
The snake was taking rest on its own habitat and people were collecting firewood in that place. Though the snake is not aggressive and hampering people, they killed it with considering the misconceptions of “It will be bad-luck to look snake in Kartik months (Nepali calendar)?” The guy, who stroked on it, became enemy with this species when this species cut his mother 4 or 5 years before.
PARC’s Team Leader, S. Bhattarai, requested people not to kill but aggressive people did not hear his voice.
