Participation
PARC's Team leader, Suman Bhattarai took part in the Regional Seminar and Planning Workshop held 24-26 July 2008. The Workshop was conducted by the NUFU project (Education, Research and Training for sustainable Management of Natural Resources in Himalayan Watersheds). Workshop was made in the Dhulikhel Mountain Resort, Dhulikhel.

Two Snakes in Forestry; 10th July 2008
Two snakes were caught in the residential area and motor road of Forestry collage, Pokhara, Nepal. Both of them were released in the Banpale Forest on 10th July 2008. PARC and Team Leader (Suman Bhattarai) appeal everyone to put their hands/efforts on biodiversity conservation and wildlife rescue.

Increased in Snake Number ; 5 July, 2008
With changing season, snakes are frequently observed in the compound of Forestry Collage, Pokhara, Nepal. Mr. Dilip Subedi, student, is involving in the rescue of these snakes. He uses to collect and release them in the Banpale Foerst near by Collage.
Two baby snakes were caught in the residential area of Institute of Forestry, Pokhara, Nepal and released in the Banpale Forest on 5th July 2008.
PARC's team leader and Mr. Subedi discussed about these snake and finally made understanding to document Snake found of Forestry collage.
Willife Rescue
PARC also works in the field of animal rescue and documentation of the wildlife poaching and trading. Team leader visited the District forest Office, Kaski, Nepal to gather the information of Leopard killing. It was found that a bullet was shot through the leo's head by the local people.
People killed while the leo entering in the village. People told that they killed to keep the local safe from the attack because that leo frequently used to visit village.
Field Visit
Team leader visited the Rupa lake to assess the illegal water bird hunting and fish catching and found that children use to fishing with the local made instrument "taro".
Environment Day Celebration; June 2008
On the occasion of Environment Day, PARC visited the Narayangarh Market of Chitwan, Nepal and found out the Pocket area and Sources of solid waste production in the site. We collected the waste dropping site in city. Organic waste, reusable waste, recyclable waste and poisonous wastes were haphazardly thrown in the city. PARC has planned to organize a training for the urban people on “How to change the solid Waste into Money?” so that the waste can be safely deposited and create sound environment.
Team Registration; June 2008
PARC is established in 2006 and it was not officially registered at that time. By looking the effectiveness of activities, our members, local people, advisors, working partners pressured us officially registration. We realized their suggestion and pressure and registered PARC officially on 4 June, 2008.
Research; June 2008
PARC has supported Team Leader to conduct Research “Relation between Soil and Rhinoceros Preferred Diet (Plant) Species” in the Bufferzone Community Forest and Chitwan National Park, Chitwan, Nepal. The research has been conducting for the Master Degree of the Team Leader, Suman Bhattarai.
Soil Sample Collection; March 2008
To analysis the soil of rhino’s preferred species area; team of 4 members visited the field. The programme was held for 15 days. Total 57 samples were collected and sent for lab test. The team members are; Suman Bhattarai, Bal Bahadur lama, Deepa Paudel and Kul Bahadur Lama.
